Lily was diagnosed with diabetes on Jan. 15, 2008. She had all of the typical diabetic symptoms, but she did not respond to her insulin typically. She was started on vetsulin once a day (who knows why) and she crashed on her second dose. We almost lost her. We've been working hard to get her stable ever since and she is now on humulin N. It seems that she is needing more insulin as the months pass. She is only 3 and is a very active dog.
